Most Assists - 1st - Roger Sheppard - 10
2nd - Andy Downs - 8
3rd - Tony Nicholson, Mark Hopkins
and Ian Shambrook - 5
The award for giving it to someone else to go and score, well done guys. Assist
of the year goes to Paul Wilson, who managed to get off a pass with his butt in the
process of crashing to the ice....again. We're not sure if the ice tilted as he went down,
but they all count.
Highest Points Per Game Average (PPG) - 1st - Carl Hastings - 2.67
2nd - Andy Downs - 1.71
3rd - Roger Sheppard - 1.43
I think Hastings has won this a couple of years in a row now, he only played in three games this year. One of them
was a shutout and I was a winger on his line in another, so very nearly impressive despite the handicaps!
Most Penalty Minutes - 1st - Jason Draper - 75 mins
2nd - Jeff Nagle - 30 mins
3rd - Mark Gibson - 28 mins
In perhaps the biggest surprise of the year, Gibbo didn't rack up the most penalty minutes. Jason decided to work out all his aggression before becoming a father and collected his 75 minutes in one game against the Hyenas. Jeff made a good fist of trying to catch up, picking up penalty minutes in pretty much every game he played, whilst Gibbo complained that the other teams wouldn't stop still so that he could hit them.
